Colleen is a PACFA and ACA registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist (MCPsych), a Manly local, and the founder of Sound Minds Therapy. Her focus is Preventive Mental Health – supporting people both before and during crisis.
Colleen takes an integrated approach, looking at the physical, mental and emotional facets of a person’s world – past, present and future, to support optimal wellbeing. She draws on Positive Psychology, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solutions-Focused Therapy, with a focus on relationships, interpersonal skills and self-care, often working alongside body-based care to support full nervous system regulation. She works with individuals and couples, and is a certified Prepare/Enrich® Relationship Assessment Facilitator and Safe and Sound Protocol™ provider – a listening-based therapy that helps regulate the nervous system from the ground up.
Her warm, direct style helps clients feel supported without ever feeling like therapy is precious or complicated.
Colleen can help with a range of concerns and has a special interest in:
• Preventive Mental Health Care & Stress Regulation
• Anxiety & Burnout
